Yesterday Apple announced some of the changes they made to their MacBook lineup. Though there were no physical changes, it's what's on the inside that counts.

The changes to the MacBook Pro include the new Penryn processor, available up to 2.6GHz, the Multi-Touch trackpad, which was introduced on the MacBook Air, up to 4GB of 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM memory, up to a 300GB hard drive, a more powerful NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics processor, with up to 512MB of video memory, and the option for an LED screen on the high end model.
The MacBook was also included on this hardware update sporting its own Penryn processor, memory upgradeable to 4gb and a hard drive upgradeable to 250gb. The 2.4GHz models will now come standard with 2gb of memory.
Aside from those product changes, Apple also announced that iTunes has surpassed Best Buy and is now the second largest retailer of music in the U.S. behind Wal-Mart.
"We'd like to thank the over 50 million music lovers who have helped the iTunes Store reach this incredible milestone," said Eddy Cue, Apple's vice president of iTunes. "We continue to add great new features like iTunes Movie Rentals to give our customers even more reason to love iTunes."
The updated versions of the MacBook and the MacBook Pro are available now.
