Since the release of the PlayStation 3, Sony has been criticized for their lack of a rumble feature on the console's controller. Though Sony had legal troubles regarding the technology that went into the vibrate function and ended up paying nearly $36 million to settle, the long and tedious battle is over and the fans will have their way.
The PlayStation 3 DualShock 3 controller was announced last year at the Tokyo Game Show and the Japanese audience has been enjoying the product for months. Today, Sony announced that the DualShock 3 would be released in the U.S. on April 15 of this year.
What makes this news more exciting is that the DualShock is being released just two days before the long awaited title "Gran Turismo 5" which will utilize the rumble feature. The controller will also be compatible with hundreds of games including the recent top sellers "Uncharted: Drakes Fortune" and "Ratchet and Clank: Future"
The DualShock 3 will retail for $54.99 and is likely to appear in Europe soon after the U.S. release.
