After much anticipation, a release date that was pushed back twice, and then even more anticipation, owners of the Nintendo Wii were finally able to get their hands on a copy of "Super Smash Bros. Brawl". Unfortunately, not everyone who bought the game was able to play it.

"Super Smash Bros. Brawl" was release last Sunday in the U.S. and customers found themselves lost when they inserted the game only to receive an error stating that they were attempting to play a dirty disc. What once was a problem in Japan when the game was originally released is proving to be a similar issue with the American version.
Nintendo posted a press release stating, "Super Smash Bros. Brawl utilizes a double-layer disc which has a large memory capacity. A very small percentage of Wii consoles may have trouble consistently reading data off this large capacity disc if there is some contamination on the lens of the disc drive. Nintendo has specialized cleaning equipment that can resolve this problem. (Please do NOT attempt to clean the lens yourself, as you may damage the system.)"
