On the same day Apple announced that its much-lauded iPhone and iPod touch software development kit (SDK) has been downloaded more than 100,000 times, the California-based computer specialist has also dated its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).

Those Apple fans eager to bear witness to Apple’s latest unveiling of tantalising technology should therefore mark June 09 through June 13 on their 2008 calendars, as that’s when Apple will be wheeling out its newest nuggets of technological advancement. The event will take place at Moscone West in San Francisco.
In light of the iPhone SDK’s official launch on March 06, it’s perhaps not overly surprising to note that Apple will be using the WWDC event to provide specific focus for attending developers.
Related points of SDK discussion expected to unfold during the conference will include “Getting Started,” “Build Powerful Application,” “Create Engaging Media Experiences,” “Target the Web,” and “Integrate the Technologies of the iPhone.”
Apple Inc. constitutes considerably more than just the iPhone handset of course, with MacWorld offering that the company’s stalwart Mac computer systems will play their usual central role.
Specifically, Mac operating system topics such as “The Essentials,” “Sophisticated Tools,” “Leopard Feature Integration,” “Rich Media and Powerful Graphics,” and “Dynamic Web Experiences,” all likely to be covered during the event.
Beyond the obvious WWDC attraction of the iPhone SDK, the conference could also provide a platform for Apple CEO Steve Jobs to reveal a keynote demo of the upcoming iPhone software 2.0 system update, which is expected to arrive later in June.
