As with all beta releases, California-based Adobe will use the Photoshop Express trial release to gather invaluable user feedback on the application’s product features and functionality, which will contribute directly to the ongoing evolution of the product ahead of its final release.
Bolstered by the very best image editing technology developed over the years by Adobe, Photoshop Express provides a simple and accessible point of entry for those online image lovers looking to embrace the Photoshop experience.
Providing users with free online storage of up to 2GB for their image collections, Photoshop Express also allows the application of image editing and also online sharing including downloading and uploading through popular social network Web sites such as Facebook.
“Photoshop Express allows anyone who snaps a digital photo to easily achieve the high-impact results for which Adobe is known,” enthused Doug Mack, vice president of Consumer and Hosted Solutions at Adobe. “Photoshop Express is a convenient, single destination where you can store, edit and share photos whether you’re at home, school or on the road.”
Compatible with any Web browser, Photoshop Express can help users to apply image corrections such as blemish removal and red-eye cancellation in just a few clicks, while also enabling black to white switching, cropping and resizing, and much more besides.
Other ‘one-click’ elements that will allow users to sidestep conventional acclimatisation and achieve impressive, almost instant special effects include, Pop Color, Sketch effects and the Distort feature.
Creative image sharing is made possible by uploading and displaying photos and slideshows via an Adobe-hosted ‘Gallery,’ or by embedding or linking imagery through social networking sites and personal online blogs.
