LOL !!!
Yea OK has nothing the do with fault lines. Lava, Magma, fault stresses, Continental drift,
Its God ya know what I Spoke to him/her just the other day know what he/she had to say?
Quit it!!! He/She doesn’t work that why and never has.. So quit scaring everybody and get back to the whole love thy neighbor and protect thy brother portion.
Amen, Bob! Your comments are accurate.
Oh ya that makes way more sense.
I think this is exciting. It,s like a prelude to the creation of new land. What I have heard from geologists is that we have been living in a period of reduced volcanic activity which cannot last forever. I look forward to seeing the increased real estate to be added to the land mass of the good old USA.
@Bob Eldridge,
Earthquakes are natural phenomenon which occur thousands of times a day. This started from day one when the earth was formed or created billions of years ago and will continue on until the Earth is consumed by the Sun billions of years in the future.
Just because we now have have the technology to monitor events and report on it 24/7, doesn't imply that the 'end is here.' It's just that we're inundated with mass media (and some 'Christians') trying to convince us that it is.
So instead of perpetuating the 'Wrath of God Myth,' start preaching that God is about love and we should embrace him instead of fear him.
thank you, i agree with the 'other cristian viewpoint'. god's about love not wrath, it's time people see that...
There are those in this world that believe in science and those that believe in faith. One requires tangible or measurable evidence and the other strong convictions and hope. Both have their place in this world, but when those who believe in faith use tangible or measurable evidence as proof of something entirely intangible and immeasurable then reason has no choice but to disregard their claims. My point is religious people should never use science to try and back their claims. It only makes them look uneducated or at least illogical.
'......there are no volcanoes situated in the Oregon region'? Who is your writer, and what planet did he just arrive from? No volcanoes in the Oregon area. Right. Well, except for the Cascade Range. And the Columbia River basalts. And the High Lava Plains. But otherwise, 'no volcanoes situated in the Oregon region.' Yep.
This earthquake swarm is occurring about 300 miles off the Oregon coast, in the deep ocean. How that can be reworded into 'The state has reportedly suffered more than 600 earthquakes,' is beyond me. But your writer still managed it.
My suggestion: If The Tech Herald REALLY wants to be 'high tech' in its coverage of science news, perhaps it should find writers with actual science training.

These times are worth noting, we should be looking for truth behind all the destruction that has been coming upon the world in past years. Most believe these events are result of a developing planet. It is really getting late in time to keep believing in men's opinions when our God has given the answers in His Word. All that wish to have life will listen to the creator. These events are judgements from God, that will continue to increase as the evil of mankind increases. There is a way out, and that is through the Lord Jesus. Time is almost up.
