The company’s name my give you pause, but you have to admit they will have no problem with product branding. iSekurity is a new venture launched to protect consumers from identity theft. The interesting aspect, aside from the name, is who is running the show.
Legit company, do not let the name fool you. (IMG: J.Anderson)
iSekurity contains in all likelihood the largest group of ex-federal employees in any one company. The company is run by ex-members of the Secret Service, FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration, Internal Revenue Service, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, U.S. Customs Service and U.S. Postal Service.
They offer services aimed at protecting clients from id theft and are taking on a large client base to start with. iSekurity offers customized plans for corporations (protecting customers and employees), affinity organizations, industry trade groups (protecting members), and universities (protecting students, faculty and alumni). There are also plans available for individuals.
The company was set to launch officially on May 2, but because of early signups they launched early. They provide members with access to high-level investigations, assistance in identity restoration, their Sekure Scan SM early detection technology, and the most sophisticated financial coverage in the industry. ($11,000 reverse bounty program.)
“Because the majority of identity theft crimes are never investigated, standard protection measures provide limited effectiveness,” said Reginald A. Ball, president. “What differentiates iSekurity is our ability to fill the void left by typical preventative controls like credit monitoring or fraud alerts. The only way to truly win the war against identity theft is to identify the responsible parties, in an effort to clear an individual’s good name. No other organization goes so far into the pursuit of criminals or actual resolution of the crime."
The name just stands out. Sure, there are plenty of companies offering this type of service to consumers. However, none of them is run by ex-federal agents. That’s just cool.
