Always ready to inject the wildly populated mobile phone industry with fresh handset offerings, Finnish market leader Nokia Corp. has moved to introduce two new entrants to its existing XpressMusic range.

Arriving as the Nokia 5320 and Nokia 5220, the pair of music-enabled portable devices are described as perfect for the delivery of “affordable music and entertainment experiences” offset by some of the market’s freshest and most stylish designs.
“Our XpressMusic range of devices continues to deliver the combination of superior music experiences and fresh, innovative designs,” enthused Jo Harlow, VP of Nokia’s LIVE category. “Today’s additions to the XpressMusic range up the ante with new ways for consumers to access their media as well as interact and share content with friends and communities anytime, anywhere.”
That ‘upped ante’ emerges through the Nokia 5320 thanks to the inclusion of its innovative voice-controlled “Say and Play” feature, which allows users to simply say the name of a favourite artist or song for the handset to automatically locate and play it.
Other features integral to the 5320 include up to 24 hours of playback, expandable memory up to a capacity of 8GB, HS-USB for enhanced music transfer, HSDPA for swift data access, 3G social entertainment capabilities, an audio chip for hi-fi sound quality, dedicated XpressMusic keys, and Web 2.0 access.
The Nokia 5320 also comes complete with a fully-featured Web browser, access to Nokia’s Ovi and N-Gage services, and also Nokia Search 4.1 for the quick location and sharing of information and media content, says Espoo-based Nokia.
While not quite as ‘upper tier’ as its 5320 counterpart, the Nokia 5220 XpressMusic handset also delivers edgy and stylish design alongside a portable music experience that delivers up to 24 hours of playback, dedicated XpressMusic keys, a built-in lanyard for easy carriage, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Both phones are compatible with the Nokia Music Store and are expected to arrive at retail in Q3 of 2008, with the Nokia 5320 retailing for around 220 Euros, while the Nokia 5220 will retail for around 160 Euros.
