So, what’s so ‘secret’ about the LG Secret? Well, not much really -- not least because withholding its relevant technical info would seriously damage the phone’s marketing and sales potential.
Besides being typically elegant and stylish in terms of outward appearance, the LG Secret is unlike many mobile phone alternatives when it comes to physical construction. Specifically, its main body is built from durable carbon fibre (generally utilised in the aerospace and high-performance automotive industries), while tempered glass bolsters the sheen and strength of the 2.4-inch touch-screen LCD display and Neon Touch Navigation buttons respond to finger pressure via illustrious blue lighting effects.
From a features standpoint the LG Secret offers up a 5.0 mega pixel camera that LG claims is “built into the slimmest profile of any camera handset on the market (at 11.8mm).” The Secret also delivers video and DivX playback at 120fps. The addition of user editing functionality augments the camera’s photo and video abilities thanks to facial Morphing and SmartLight, and budding MTV fans can also try their creative hand at producing music videos thanks to the inclusion of Movie Maker.
In terms of mobile entertainment and accessibility, the LG Secret and its Touch Media feature provides instant touch-button access to music, photos, games, documents, and FM radio. Bundled games include various motion-based titles that use the Secret’s built in “accelerometer sensor” to detect any tilt and rotation in the handset.
The phone is fully compatible for use with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint document files, and also comes equipped with a Google Package the enables users to surf the Net, log-in to Gmail, use Google Maps, and even view user-posted YouTube clips.
Connectivity on the LG Secret is delivered through Bluetooth technology and HSDPA.
The new LG Secret (model: LG-KF750) will be officially launched across Europe in May, with Asia, South America and the rest of the world set to follow soon after.
