Seemingly not satisfied with the positive review recommendation recently bestowed upon the LG Chocolate 3 by The Tech Herald, LG Electronics has once again partnered with Verizon Wireless to offer up yet more mobile phone goodness in the form of the new Blitz and Voyager handsets.
Aimed specifically at quick-fingered ‘tweens’ the chocolate bar Blitz handset is described as a “text messaging powerhouse” that comes equipped with a generous 2.2-inch TFT display screen, online capabilities and a built-in MP3 music player that’s compatible with Verizon’s V CAST Music and DRM-free Rhapsody’s library of more than 5 million downloadable songs.
Other features include a humble 1.3 mega pixel camera, a full QWERTY keyboard, expandable microSD memory for up to 4GBs of storage, VZ Navigator directional assistance, Media Center, Mobile E-mail, Mobile IM, Picture Messaging, Voice Commands, a provided USB cable, and an onboard Bluetooth speaker.
The Blitz can be yours from Verizon Wireless stores for as little as $69.99 USD after a $50 USD mail-in rebate and your signature on a two-year service agreement. V CAST and Rhapsody require a monthly subscription of $14.99 USD.
Hot on the heels of the Blitz comes the Voyager in Titanium, the newest addition to Verizon’s growing portfolio of touch-screen handsets.
While the new Voyager comes equipped with the same dual-screen design and feature list associated with its popular black predecessor, this particular model boasts a “lustrous titanium finish” and, as with the Blitz, provides support for V CAST Music and Rhapsody.
Other features include a provided USB cable and Visual Voice Mail, which Verizon calls “the ideal tool for the busy mobile professional” who may need to prioritise their messages in relation to which he or she listens to first.
After cashing in a $50 USD mail-in rebate and signing to a two-year service contract, the Voyager in Titanium can be yours for $149.99 USD. V CAST and Rhapsody require a further $14.99 per month, while Visual Voice Mail costs $2.99 USD per month.
Keep an eye on The Tech Herald as we’ll be running related reviews for the Voyager and Blitz in the near future.
