Described by PENTAX Imaging as being the perfect and complete entry-level package for those ready to make the transition to DSLR photography, the K2000 system comes with a PENTAX K2000 body, the smc PENTAX DA L 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL lens, and the PENTAX AF200FG Auto Flash -- all for the pocket-friendly sum of $700 USD.
The DSLR bundle offers prospective users the advantages of 10.2 mega pixels of performance, a generous 2.7-inch wide-view TFT LCD display (230,000 dot high resolution), and an ultra-compact design aesthetic that ranks as one of the smallest and lightest in its class.
Other features crammed into the K2000 include a comprehensive Dust Removal system, easy-to-use Auto Picture modes (Portrait, Landscape, Macro, Action and Night Portrait), Shake Reduction technology usually found on more advanced PENTAX K series DSLR models, and a dedicated help button for instant settings and camera function explanations.
The PENTAX AF200FG automatic flash comes complete with a compact, lightweight body, wide-angle diffuser, a guide number of 20 (as ISO 100/m) and a simple dial-based operation system for the implementation of effortless flash photography.
