Facebook is a privately owned and operated website. They have the power to do whatever they please when it comes to operating under the agreed user terms. If somebody doesn't like playing by Facebook's rules, maybe they should participate in another social network!
Honestly, I personally believe that there is nothing wrong with breastfeeding imagery, but the issue at hand isn't just about morality.
The dikes can't handle folks
Well stated. I also have no issue with the topic at hand - however I will state that 'c'mon, its natural' isn't an argument. So is urination, and I guarantee you that is obscene. Nature can be obscene, deal with it.
to normal I think it more the gay guys
Typical small town American prudishness.
I am a future mother and I don't think breastfeeding is 'shameful' or 'obscene'; however, I'm not interested in seeing breastfeeding photos through my searches in a public forum. Enough with the in my face contents already. Certain private events are memorable and should be kept private.
Breastfeeding is a natural part of motherhood, but posting it can't be a good intention, I guess.
Internet porn, violence = Drug = The reults of deregulation, I think.
“I don’t want future moms to feel that breastfeeding is shameful,” said the Utah mother in a Mercury News report. “It might keep them from breastfeeding [their children].”... really? Because of Facebook? Children will be malnourished because Facebook won't post pictures of a baby sucking on a tit? You know, I don't go looking for reasons to be embarrassed by my fellow Americans, but there's plenty of them anyway.
What's the big deal? Women have tits, babies nurse. All facts of life. Seems like this website is trying to enforce their christo-fascist patriarchal agenda on the world.
All of our four children were breastfed. Breastfeeding is natural. If we were out and about town and one of the kids needed to be fed my wife whipped out a tit and fed the child. No one ever complained, or really even seemed to notice.
Seems like Facebook's execs have some latent homosexuality issues they need to deal with.
Just because it is natural does not mean it should be public. Like was mentioned above urination and bowl movements are natural as well but they should not be public. Breastfeeding should not be a public exhibition. If we make those things that should be private public then we are losing our civility and becoming no more than mere animals.
