An alert released by the company said that the 41 fixes span, “across hundreds of Oracle products” that address various security issues.
The breakdown of security patches include 10 for Oracle Database, one for Oracle Times Ten Data Server, four for Oracle Application Server, as well as various other low-level patches and fixes.
Defending disaster recovery operations across IT, Oracle is addressing nine vulnerabilities open to remote exploitation in Oracle Secure Backup. However, it is worth noting that all of the fixes for Secure Backup are applicable to client-only installations.
The list of products covered by the massive patch includes most of Oracle’s line-up, so IT teams will be busy this week pushing the patches out to production environments.
The entire list of affected products, as well as summaries of the issues within, can be viewed online.
If you keep track of such things, Microsoft Corp. will be releasing its monthly security update, yet the giant from Redmond will only offer up a single patch this month.
