Not one to sit idly by and allow a competitor to beat it liberally about the face and neck, trend-setting hardware maker Apple Inc. has hit back at Microsoft’s recent spate of ‘Laptop Hunters’ TV commercials with four more of its tried and trusted ‘Mac vs. PC’ ads.
Yet more \'mine\'s bigger than yours\' banter from Apple. Image: Apple.
While Microsoft’s much publicised ad campaign looks to tap consumer interest by criticising Mac systems on pricing, choice, and versatility, Apple’s latest run of ads choose to focus on the associated grievances and detrimental consequences of buying PCs equipped with Windows.
The four clips, starring Hollywood actor Justin Long as the incessantly cool 'Mac' character, are called Biohazard Suit, Legal Copy, Stacks and Time Traveller, and highlight some of the issues prospective PC buyers can expect regarding the ever-increasing risk of viruses, interface and search annoyances, stability problems and never-ending legalese of Windows.
Enjoy them all at your leisure, unless you’re a PC user – at which point you’ll perhaps be fighting the urge to nod along knowingly while harbouring unspoken hardware regret (this writer and Dell owner certainly was).
