SingTel confirms iPhone 3GS coming to Singapore

Spreading its smartphone wings to reach further parts of the world, the new third-generation iPhone 3GS handset will soon be dropping onto retail shelves in Singapore after operator SingTel announced a carriage deal for the region. $Apple\'s iPhone 3GS. Image: christyxcore/Flickr.$

According to a statement released by Singapore-based SingTel, Asia’s leading telecommunications company, it will begin selling the high-speed iPhone 3GS on July 10.At present, official pricing for the iPhone 3GS has not been confirmed, but SingTel has said it will announce its Singapore price points during the early part of next week.As of March 2009, SingTel and its related services have secured the business of approximately 250 million customers. The new iPhone 3GS was rolled out by Cupertino-based Apple Inc. on June 19, covering an initial eight major territories such as the United States, the United Kingdom and France.
