Record UFO sightings predicted in Britain for 2009

Ufologists are predicting a record number of UFO sightings in Britain this year after an explosion of alleged UFOs reported to the Ministry of Defence in the first six months of the year.

The Sun reports a total of 231 sightings passed on to the MoD so far this year; compared to to 285 in 2008, 135 in 2007 and 97 in 2006.The newspaper quoted leading UFO expert Nick Pope as saying: "We are now on track for a record year.""I thought the number of UFOs reported last year was high, but we now know they are being reported in increasing numbers," he said.Experts are divided over whether there has been a spike in UFO activity over Britain in the last two years as suggested by the number of sightings reported to the Ministry, or whether this could be the prevalence of digital cameras and mobile phones which are more easily able to record such phenomena.Alleged government coverup of UFO activity in both the United States and the UK has been the subject of controversy in recent months with NASA releasing videos of alleged UFOs during the space agency's missions.Ufologists have called on the governments to "come clean" on reports of UFO activity.

Out of the 231 sightings this year, 230 were caused by Chinese lanterns. Then again, only 1 sighting in history has to be 'authentic' for the whole truth about aliens to be real. Keep snapping away, but remember. If a light flies in a straight line, or even slowly, it is most likely a lantern or balloon or helicopter.

There is certainly enough evidence over the years to merit a full and open scientific investigation. With testimony of two former presidents, pilots, astronauts and thousands of other credible people ought to be enough to stimulate an investigations to what it puiblicly known as one of the greatest mysteries of our times.

Since there has been no credible or fully public investigation, one can only conclude that they know its a waste of money since they already know what they are and are just not talking. Which (of the four)government versions of the Roswell story do you believe? To prove that these objects are anomolies, evidence is needed that is not only testimony, but photos, videos linked with assessment in other optical and radio frequencies. This equipment is expensive and usually only available to large corporations and/or the military.

I do believe in aliens and this picture was proved too be authentic, and too the person whos aid 230 out of 231 were chinese lanterns is well wrong..

i think that sightings are expected to go up this year, and years to come, because everyone is smoking to much weed !.
