Here's a good dealer guy with a great idea..
Who knows.... I'm now thinking about buying
an American made car Again...
I got tattooed buying American made cars during the
1970s and early 1980s ...
You know, back when the UAW brotherhood filled the parking lots
of the Ford and General Motors automotive assembly plants
with their Datsun or Mazda or Honda...
I was silly enough to support the American workers....
despite the fact that my first car- a 1971 Ford Torino
was assembled on the day the UAW proudly assembled the car
intentionally leaving the bolts out of the right front bumper...
Weren't they cute?? I won't bore you with the many other (worse) experiences I had with other brand new American made cars.
I am amazed at the ignorance of the media over the definition of the term 'assault weapon'. This term is so loosely used and especially misused to demonize a rifle that is legal to own by almost any law-abiding citizen.
An 'assault rifle' or 'assault weapon' is a militarized, FULLY AUTOMATIC weapon, which is restricted by the BATF, as opposed to the semi-automatic rifle that is more commonly available.
I have seen this story with the heading 'Buy a pick-up truck, get a free machine gun'. Talk about misleading. It is a voucher to go to a locl gun shop to purchase a semi-automatic rifle, not a machine gun or an assault weapon.
Hahaha. And not a trace of irony in the above comment. Someone is missing the point of the article me thinks.
