Software titan Oracle Corp. has announced plans to extend its market reach by acquiring privately held company GoldenGate Software, a leading provider of real-time data integration solutions, superior IT performance and improved enterprise decision making.

Outlining its business intentions with GoldenGate’s technology via its pressroom, Oracle has said the acquisition will enable the creation of a single “heterogeneous” real-time data integration solution enabling customers to benefit from enhanced replication and synchronization, along with improved business intelligence and high availability of business-critical applications.
“The need to improve operating performance in a global 24x7 environment has led to the need for data integration to support real-time and availability capabilities,” explained Hasan Rivzi, senior VP for Oracle Fusion Middleware Product Development in an official statement.
“With the addition of GoldenGate, Oracle expects to help our customers achieve better performance through the improved business intelligence and business community with real-time information,” he added.
Both companies will continue to operate independently until the deal is officially closed and approved. Financial details related to the acquisition have not been divulged.
