While you could perhaps accuse videogame publisher Activision Blizzard of milking the Guitar Hero cash cow to the point of it being a dishevelled husk, the upcoming fifth full instalment of the popular music rhythm game at least looks set to impress in terms of variety.

More pointedly, Activision has today officially announced Guitar Hero 5’s final 15 song tracks, which brings the game’s set list to a whopping count of 85 and includes massive hits such as Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash, Superstition by Stevie Wonder and Smells Like Teen Spirit by grunge legends Nirvana.
Expected to ship on September 01 of this year for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 2, Guitar Hero 5 is also notable for providing series debuts for classic rock titans Dire Straits and award-winning UK phenomenon Arctic Monkeys.
The final 15 tracks added to the game’s already lengthy song list are:
