If you’re a lover of Windows who’s technically minded and have amassed experience dealing with (often irate) members of the public, then Redmond-based software behemoth Microsoft wants to hear from you as it strives to staff its burgeoning chain of retail stores.
Heed the call! Image: Microsoft.
However, if the job listing is anything to go by, it would appear weak-limbed gadget geeks looking to align themselves with Microsoft ahead of a possible store discount need not apply.
“Lifting/carrying 75 pounds (loading and unloading all those great products and carrying purchases out for our customers will be required!)” reads Microsoft’s ad, which is looking to fill vacancies at upcoming stores in Scottsdale, Arizona and Mission Viejo in California.
Here’s wishing Microsoft good fortune in finding willing tech freaks able bodied enough to meet its muscular requirements… and here’s hoping the new chain of retail stores will be subsequently staffed by less arrogant and obviously superior ‘assistants’ than those working within Apple establishments.
Microsoft’s new walk-in stores will, of course, carry various branded products such as Windows and Office software, the Xbox 360 videogames console, and the Zune multimedia player. They will also stock computer systems offered up by Microsoft partner hardware manufacturers.
