Users of the Opera browser might be in the minority when it comes to the battle for market dominance being played out between leading Web browsers Internet Explorer and Firefox. However, that doesn’t mean the minority are having their needs ignored or the platform is losing the support of its creators.

Moreover, a final release candidate (RC) of Opera 10 was officially unveiled on Monday, and the Norwegian software specialist has said it will publish the full and final build of Opera 10 for public consumption during the early part of next week.
Described by Opera’s vice president of desktop products Jan Standal as “the best browser in Opera’s long history,” the new platform will introduce and enhance a number of features.
Some of the more notable tweaks and additions include improvements to the Opera mail client, which, according to Standal, is “one of our most enduring and popular features,” while the rollout of Turbo Boost will provide extra performance for those users with limited Internet connections.
The imminent release of Opera 10 comes hot on the heels of similar browser upgrades and overhauls applied to Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Mozilla’s Firefox, Apple’s Safari and Google’s Chrome – all of which have more market traction than Opera.
