Officially dated via an RSVP e-mail invitation dispatched to specific technology journalists and publications, Motorola’s grand unveiling will take place in London next month at an as-yet undisclosed location.
“Unfortunately, we are not able to give you any more details at present, however, over the coming weeks we will be able to reveal more,” teased the mobile phone manufacturer with regards to the full content of its announcement.
“Still, the rather obvious giveaway is the combination of Motorola and Android logos in the top and bottom right corners [of the invitation’s bold header],” it added.
According to various online reports, the first Android-equipped Motorola pushed to retail could well emerge as the recently leaked smartphone device that bears more than a passing resemblance to the Xperia X2 and comes complete with Motorola’s new Blur user interface.
A host of global Android announcements will be made by Motorola in and around the same period, with an event for the U.S. market presently earmarked for September 10.
