With Apple’s annual product refresh set for September 09, the Internet rumour mill has shifted into overdrive regarding exactly which products the Cupertino-based computer and gadgetry giant will sprinkle its fairy dust on.

As things stand, widespread opinion would suggest the company’s line of trusty iPod music and multimedia players is to receive an overhaul during the upcoming media event – not least because Apple’s dispatched media invitations included a picture of an iPod along with famous Rolling Stones lyric: “It’s only rock and roll, but we like it.”
In terms of upcoming tech additions to the iPod portfolio, industry analysts expect to see Apple slap a digital camera on the iPod Nano, while the flagship non-telephonic iPod Touch could receive an integrated digital camera that comes equipped with video recording capabilities.
Beyond detail tweaks to its iPod platforms, Apple is also expected to use the event to officially reveal iTunes 9, while related whispers point to a public return for Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who recently took a medical sabbatical in order to undergo a liver transplant.
Those Apple fans crossing their fingers in the hopes of seeing the much-rumoured Apple Tablet may well be disappointed, with industry analysts claiming the ‘iPad’ won’t be unveiled until later in the year.
