Following on from last year’s fraudulent claims of ‘Bigfoot in a freezer’ made by a couple of hunters from Georgia, a hunter in Kentucky has this week offered up somewhat blurry photographic evidence of what could be the mythical lumbering beast.
Bigfoot or man in costume shop outfit? Hmm. Image: Kenny Mahoney.
Unlike other supposed sightings of Bigfoot, which usually emerge as blatant moneymaking scams, the creature caught on camera by Kenny Mahoney of Fairdale, Kentucky, appears to be little more than a snapshot of good fortune.
“Every once in a while, I think something’s impossible, and they catch a prehistoric fish every once in a while,” said Mr. Mahoney in a WTHR Indianapolis report.
“I don’t ever rule anything out, but I say it’s a long shot for Bigfoot to be living in my backyard in Fairdale,” he added.
According to Mr. Mahoney, the unexpected visitor on his property was more than six-feet tall, covered in black fur, and had long arms and extremely wide shoulders like a gorilla.
While it remains to be seen if opportunistic Bigfoot hunters and curious members of the scientific community now gravitate towards Fairdale in search of the legendary and elusive beast, the possibility of a return visit does seem quite good.
Moreover, rather than merely being a chance, once in a lifetime meeting, Mr Mahoney has said the creature keeps returning to his garden, which is a contributing factor in how he was able to have a camera at the ready.
