American videogame publisher LucasArts has this week moved to expand its presence in the download sector by announcing the upcoming arrival of original platform title Lucidity for the PC and the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Set to make its online arrival this coming October 07, Lucidity is a dream-inspired 2D puzzle offering that revolves around central protagonist Sofi, ga young girl who is filled with a persistent desire to explore new worlds and overcome all obstacles in her way.h
Unlike other conventional 2D puzzle adventures, Lucidity doesnft give players direct control of Sofi, but rather tasks them with adding all manner of items to her dream environments in order to ensure Sofi is able to progress from one challenge to the next.

gLucidity comes from our effort at LucasArts to form several small internal development teams and give them the creative freedom to make games that surprise, amaze and inspire,h said the company in an official statement regarding the game, which has been crafted by the same team responsible for the recently re-imagined and re-released version of LucasArts classic The Secret of Monkey Island.
In other LucasArts news, the California-based studio has also revealed that a new series of videogames based on its Star Wars license are also being worked through the production pipeline.
