While you’d be forgiven for thinking QuickBooks for Mac provides Apple hardware owners with swift and easy access to a stockpile of glorious digital fiction, Intuit’s new software package has actually been designed to improve business productivity.

Specifically, QuickBooks 2010 should provide small business users with a selection of powerful tools to increase productivity and profitability, and all of it presented with the kind of easy-to-use simplicity Apple fans are well accustomed to.
So what can users expect from QuickBooks 2010 and its 40 productivity enhancements?
According to Intuit, the package saves time on routine tasks such as e-mailing and printing, provides key insight to help make smart business decisions, and offers easier processing of credit card payments. Other aspects include the ability to track billable hours with integrated add-on services, at-a-glance financial reports, and performance graphs.
“Now more than ever, business owners are concerned about profitability,” commented Kiran Patel, executive vice president and general manager of Intuit’s Small Business Group.
“So with this new version, we focused on the areas that help business owners be more productive,” he added. “This means they have more time to grow their business with the insights they need to improve their bottom line.”
Intuit QuickBooks 2010 for Mac is compatible with Intel-equipped hardware running Mac OS 10.5.7, Mac 10.6, or later. Business owners keen to enjoy the productivity benefits the package has to offer will need to find $199.95 USD when it arrives at retail on October 19.
