With the Shade duly given its moment in the spotlight, and having already talked-up Verizon’s other major new releases during the last week (i.e. the Imagio, the Gateway LT2016u Netbook, and the rugged Barrage), what we’re left to dazzle you with is the tantalisingly titled Razzle.
Razzle, dazzle \'em! Image: Verizon Wireless.
Described as a “fashionable phone developed by Personal Communications Devices,” the Razzle is being positioned by Verizon to tempt the avid texters and music lovers of the mobile world.
Boasting a unique tilt-and-swivel chassis for more comfortable messaging and quicker access the phone’s built-in music player, the Razzle provides access to masses of downloadable content through the Verizon Wireless V CAST Music with Rhapsody service – sadly the provocative Razzle moniker doesn’t stretch to providing pictures of naked ladies with legs akimbo.
Equipped with a pre-installed 1GB microSD memory card, the dual-band CDMA (1800/1900MHz) handset comes with a 2.2-inch TFT display screen, a built-in 1.3 mega pixel camera, and a full QWERTY keyboard.
Other features on the Razzle include a music control bar, Bluetooth connectivity, access to Mobile Wed, support for Media Centre, VZ Navigator, T9 predictive text input, a speakerphone, and a bilingual interface (English and Spanish).
Available in sleek black with lime highlights through the official Verizon Wireless site from October 06, the tilt-and-swivel Razzle will sell for $69.99 USD with a two-year service contract. The phone is expected to hit Verizon’s line of Communications Stores before the end of the month.
