Already established as something of a portability and performance phenomenon in the world of low-price camcorders, the palm-friendly and pocket-friendly Flip Mino is looking to expand appeal beyond its mainstay budget consumer base.

Specifically, Pure Digital has this week officially upgraded its upper tier MinoHD handheld camera in the form of the tweaked MinoHD Premium, which arrives as a redefined flagship entrant to the hugely popular Mino product range.
Beyond offering prospective buyers the choice between a sassy aluminium chassis or one of a selection of bright and colourful outer shell designs, the MinoHD also comes with the ability to shoot in 720p high definition and a 2.0 inch display screen that’s slightly bigger than the viewer on previous Minos.
Other core aspects of the MinoHD include a solid 8GBs of internal memory, a newly introduced HDMI port, enhanced FlipShare software with support for Magic Movie, and quick and easy content uploading for leading social networking services such as Facebook, MySpace and YouTube.
So, if you’re in the market for a proven ultra-portable camcorder with plenty of storage space and HD credentials, then why not consider splashing the $229 USD Pure Digital would like in return for the MinoHD Premium.
