If you happen to have a hankering for a new smartphone device, or are perhaps mulling over a handset upgrade, then Motorola and T-Mobile would very much like you to consider the newly launched CLIQ – which just so happens to be Motorola’s very first phone carrying the Google-backed Android operating system.

Available exclusively in the U.S. on T-Mobile USA and equipped with high-speed 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, the CLIQ comes complete with a 3.1-inch HVGA display, a touch-screen user interface, a 5.0 mega pixel camera (with auto focus and video capture), a 3.5mm headphone jack, 2GBs of pre-installed microSD memory, and MOTOBLUR communication management.
“Smartphones are fast becoming the primary way many consumers engage with social networking services, e-mail and the Web, which makes the Motorola CLIQ with MOTOBLUR the right phone at the right time,” trumpeted Travis Warren, director of product marketing at T-Mobile USA.
“T-Mobile continues to expand upon its industry-leading lineup of Android smartphones for the holiday season with the launch of the CLIQ, and we expect it to be very popular among our highly connected customers,” he added.
Other contributing attributes include an onboard music player, the pre-loaded Amazon MP3 store application, and Shazam, iMeem Mobile, AccuWeather, MySpace Mobile, Quickoffice, and one-touch access to Google services such as Search, Maps, Street View, YouTube and Picasa.
