The traditional Black Friday electronics rush might still be a few weeks away (Nov. 27), but that hasn’t stopped heavyweight American retailer Walmart from jumping the Thanksgiving gun and offering its customers some great in-store deals.

Specifically, this weekend saw the popular chain launching the first of a series of one-week promotional offers across a selection of limited-quantity devices, such as notebook computers, high-definition televisions and one of this generation’s leading home videogame consoles.
Notably, tech consumers with $298 USD to burn can take home a 15.6-inch HP G60-519WM notebook equipped with the new Windows 7 operating system, an Intel Celeron 900 processor (2.2GHz), 3GBs of DDR2 RAM, a 250GB hard drive, and the Intel Graphics Accelerator 4500M.
And those looking to make the leap into videogaming can snap up a solid deal via Walmart thanks to a Microsoft Xbox 360 Arcade on sale for $199 USD, which comes bundled with a tempting $100 USD store card that can be put towards software, accessories, or perhaps a hard drive for game saves and online downloads.
High-definition televisions looking for a new home include a 46-inch Panasonic Plasma set with a 30,000:1 contrast ratio, a 600Hz sub-field drive and a trio of HMDI ports for $788 USD, while a Sony BDP-S360 Blu-ray player with DTS HD 7.1 Analogue, BD Live and Dolby TrueHD can be taken home for $148 USD.
