Considering the slightly elevated prices normally associated with Apple’s home computers, this week’s Black Friday consumer electronics price drops could potentially provide prospective Mac buyers with a little something extra to be thankful about.

Specifically, official Apple resellers are looking to lure shoppers away from cheaper PC hardware by hacking up to $250 USD from the price of various Mac-branded computer systems, with the likes of MacMall, MacConnection and Best Buy all presently attaching limited-time sale prices to a wide selection of Apple hardware.
Taking a closer look at what’s on offer, Apple Insider reports that both MacMall and MacConnection are stocking the usually $999 USD MacBook (in white) for $885 USD, while MacMall is also selling the 2.26GHz and 2.53GHz variants of the diminutive Mac Mini desktop for $550 USD and $745 USD respectively.
For those prospective buyers keen to make the leap to Apple’s line of MacBook Pro and iMac systems, MacMall will happily provide customers with a 2.26GHz MacBook Pro (13-inch) or a 3.06GHz iMac (21-inch) in exchange for a respectable $1,069 USD, which is a $130 USD reduction from the usual ticket prices.
Other value deals from MacMall include: $1,799 USD for the 2.66GHz MacBook Pro (15-inch), a saving of $200 USD; $1,585 USD for the 3.06GHz iMac (27-inch), a saving of $130 USD; and $2,249 USD for the 2.80GHz MacBook Pro (17-inch), which is a solid saving of $250 USD.
While Best Buy is knocking off a tempting $100 USD from the new 3.06GHz iMac (21.5-inch), making it $1,100 USD, trusty MacMall remains the Black Friday store of choice thanks to price drops that bring the 1.86GHz MacBook Air to $1,399 USD, while the 2.13GHz model moves to a more appealing $1,690 USD.
