Stealing something of a network march on its international competitors, mobile provider TeliaSonera AB has this week gifted lucky European customers with the world’s very first raft of 4G mobile services.

Officially unveiled in both Stockholm, Sweden and Oslo, Norway, the provider claims its new 4G/LTE network offers high transmission speed and capacity and will open new service possibilities for mobile customers to use and enjoy on their portable notebook computers.
“The use of mobile broadband in the Nordic countries is exploding and customers need higher speeds and capacity. This is why we launch 4G services in both Stockholm and Oslo,” enthused Kenneth Karlberg, president of Mobility Services at TeliaSonera.
“Being first out with new technologies gives us unique experience that we can use on all our markets,” he added in a press statement. “We will continue the roll-out to offer our customers new communication services for the future.”
In terms of the usage advantages associated with 4G technology, it is presently the fastest mobile platform available on the market and is capable of delivering speeds of up to ten times than today’s quickest 3G networks.
