When it comes to describing electrically powered automobiles, it’s perhaps not unusual to think of such words as ‘slow’, ‘bulky’ and ‘cumbersome’. That being said, allow us to derail that particular train of thought by introducing you to the stunning Jaguar C-X75.

First and foremost, this is no ugly, butt-heavy Prius we’re talking about here, it’s a sleek and sexy supercar that does so much more than look the part. Specifically, Jaguar claims its C-X75 concept car is capable of pushing speeds of 205mph (around 330kph).

In creating such stunning performance, the C-X75 uses two rear-mounted jet turbines to feed its battery packs, which, in turn create 778bhp through its four electric motors.

What’s more, Jaguar’s creation is also apparently able to accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds, has a range of 560 miles (around 900km), and puffs out just 29 grams of CO2 per kilometre.

If you happen to be pottering about London and fancy stealing a peek at the Jaguar C-X75, it’s presently being displayed at the Berkeley Hotel in Knightsbridge until December 31.

“We’re tremendously proud of this Jaguar concept car and what it stands for, so it’s great to be able to bring it to our customers in the UK,” enthused Jaguar design director Ian Callum in a statement.

Sadly, we find ourselves muttering ‘slow’, ‘bulky’ and ‘cumbersome’ again upon learning that the Jaguar C-X75 will likely never make it into production. Boo!
