Slick. No doubt. Image: ASUS.
Largely responsible for spawning last year's rush of recession-friendly Netbook computers, Taiwanese hardware maker ASUS is offering up a sassy new addition to its otherwise modestly capable line of Eee PC systems.
The new Eee PC 1015PW, while clearly still an ultra portable Netbook, boasts a distinctive and stylish chassis design and carries a 10.1-inch LED backlit display (1024 x 600), an Intel dual-core 1.5GHz Atom processor (N550), up to 2GBs of RAM, and 250GBs or 320GBs of hard drive storage.
Other contributing aspects aboard the 1015PW include Wi-Fi (802.11n) and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, an integrated webcam, a card reader, ExpressGate instant-on OS, a whopping 500GBs of free online storage courtesy of ASUS, and up to 10 hours of single-charge battery life.
ASUS has not yet released its recommended retail price point or street date for the Eee PC 1015PW, which will be available in colour choices of Purple Rain (pictured), Gold Dust and Angel Skin.
