AT&T gives iPhone users 1,000 free rollover minutes

Ooh, look at Mr. Nice Guy. Image: AT&T.
Although not the most well regarded telecommunications provider in the U.S., AT&T has probably curried a little easy favour with iPhone customers after giving them access to free rollover minutes.
According to reports, AT&T is currently spreading a text message throughout its iPhone user base, thanking them for their loyalty and promising to deliver 1,000 rollover minutes to the accounts of all those who reply with a simple “yes”.
The gift, while seemingly little more than a good-natured gesture (haha), comes just a few days after market rival Verizon Wireless launched a CDMA version of Apple’s iPhone—thus cancelling out AT&T’s long-established regional exclusivity.
Clearly we’re not suggesting that AT&T feels in any way threatened by the prospect of losing disgruntled customers to Verizon. We’re not suggesting that… Not at all.
If you’re an AT&T customer equipped with an iPhone but as-yet without a text, you can apparently still receive the rollover minutes simply by sending a “yes” message to 11113020.
