The Tech Herald

About The Tech Herald

Feb 5 2008, 17:22

The Tech Herald was launched early February, 2008.

The site came about after some of the editors and administration staff on the entertainment site Monsters and Critics decided they really wanted to be involved in a site covering science and technology beyond the small tech section on M&C.

The Herald sets out to publish accurate and timely news, with engaging copy.  The site also does a little investigative reporting and will later perform reviews and more regular features. The team also tests reported exploits and bugs to see if they are more than just theoretical.

Please feel free to contact us should you have any questions, corrections or suggestions.

We hope you enjoy reading the site.

Regards
TTH Team

This Grandad’s Advice To His Grandkids Has Lessons For Us All

When James K. Flanagan died on September 3, 2012, he left behind some amazing words of wisdom for his five grandchildren. He wrote them down at the suggestion of his daughter Rachel Creighton, and with her permission the letter was posted online. Just months after he penned the advice he passed away of a heart attack in West Long Branch, NJ. But the lessons James, who was originally from Ireland, left behind were not only lessons that his grandkids Ryan, 11, Conor, 10, Brendan, 9, Charles, 8, and Mary Catherine, 5 could savour for the rest of their lives, but they are lessons to us all. Here is what he wrote:  Dear […]

This Tiny House Is The Cosiest, Most Awesome Home Ever

Only hobbits live in small houses, right? Wrong! This amazing home in the Austrian Alps, called The Ufogel, is probably one of the smallest properties you’ve ever seen. But step inside and you’re greeted by an amazing world of spaciousness, comfort and cosiness as you’ve never seen before. The home is made entirely of larch wood, and a gentle wooden aroma flows through the house. Despite looking so small from the outside, it can actually comfortably sleep up to 5 people. The front of the property features an enormous panoramic window with stunning views over the mountains on the other side of the valley in East Tyrol. You feel like you’re outside […]

Three Grandmas Smoke Weed For The First Time. And, Yup, It’s Hilarious

You’ve probably always wanted to know what would happen if you gave marijuana to your grandma. Well, you’re about to find out. The Cut Video YouTube channel decided to do just that. They found three grandmas who had never smoked pot before, and had them try it — first through a bong, and then through a vaporiser. They then provided them with snacks to munch on and cards to play, and filmed the results. They are, as you can imagine, extremely entertaining. The film was shot in Washington state, which has recently legalised the recreational use of marijuana. Anyone else think the grandma in the middle was the cutest thing […]

This Stray Dog Joined An Adventure Racing Team. What Happened Will Warm Your Heart.

Adventure racing is one of the hardest sports in the world — and the races don’t come any harder than the world championships. But this year’s event in Ecuador wasn’t going to be any normal event for the Swedish Peak Performance-sponsored team. It all started when the captain, Mikael Lindnord, decided to share a meatball with a stray dog who was hanging around their camp before a super-tough 40km trek through the jungle in the latter stages of the six-day race. After setting off with the other groups everything at first seemed normal, but when the groups spread out the team realised they now had a fifth member of their team. The brave […]
