Apple Tablet heading for early 2010 launch?

Rumour, rumour, rumour. We love it. Image: Apple.
Always willing to pedal thoroughly unsubstantiated rumour and spurious speculation, especially regarding ‘must have’ gadgetry, we thought you’d like to know that Apple’s much talked about Tablet PC device is definitely confirmed to absolutely arrive in 2010… apparently.
More pointedly, with the Cupertino-based technology titan due to hold a keynote address on September 07 – during which it will likely announce tweaked additions to its iPod line – chatter regarding the mysterious handheld system has once again kicked up a notch.
According to claims made by Loopinsight, information supplied by “very reliable sources” familiar with the Apple Tablet’s development has revealed the handheld platform will be available at retail in the first half of 2010.
If that extremely rough launch estimate should hold water, it will sit comfortably beside loose retail projections offered up by Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster.
The Apple Tablet will, if rumours are to be believed, cost somewhere in the region of $800 USD and occupy a device category of its own between cheap Web-centric Netbook computers and more powerful conventional notebook systems.
