Best Buy offers capable HP notebook for $197

More than $350 USD off the asking price of $550 USD. Best Buy?
As the post-Thanksgiving turkey dinner works its course, if you’ve the energy to rise from the couch, there’s some tempting Black Friday gateaux on offer at your nearest Best Buy.
The dessert dish in question is a Hewlett Packard (HP G60-507DX) notebook normally priced at $550 USD that Best Buy is willing to part company with for a mere $197 USD.
While we wouldn’t advise spraying whipped cream across the keyboard before trying to chomp through the computer’s outer casing, Best Buy’s “first-ever, value priced HP laptop” comes equipped with a capable-but-ageing 2.2GHz Intel Celeron 900 processor (800MHz), 2GBs of DDR2 RAM (expandable to 4GBs), and a roomy 160GB hard drive.
Other points of appeal that help categorise the HP as a genuine notebook and not a Web-centric Netbook, include Windows 7 Home Premium, a 15.6-inch LCD screen (1366 x 768), an optical disc drive for DVDs, Intel’s Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M, and Microsoft Works.
And remember, if the sub-$200 HP doesn’t tease your greasy palette – despite being more than $50 USD cheaper than the Acer notebook Best Buy offered in October – the retail titan is also selling a decent selection of Atom-powered Netbook systems below the $200 USD barrier.
