A high-profile memorial service for former Apple chief executive Steve Jobs was held this past Sunday at Stanford Memorial Church in California.

Reflecting both the popularity and influence of Jobs, a related report by CNN’s Apple 2.0 outlines that the service was attended by a slew of industry figures and celebrities.

Mixed in with apparently hundreds of attendees, dignitaries such as former U.S. President Bill Clinton and former U.S. Vice President Al Gore were there to pay their respects.

Notably industry heavyweights such as Google boss Larry Page, Dell chief executive Michael Dell, Adobe co-founders John Warnock and Chuck Geschke, former Microsoft chairman Bill Gates, and Oracle chief executive Larry Ellison also attended.

Meanwhile, dipping into the pool of celebrity, tech-loving comedian and author Stephen Fry, actor Tim Allen, singer Joan Baez, and U2 front man Bono were also at the event.

56-year-old Steve Jobs died on October 5 after losing a drawn out battle with a rare form of pancreatic cancer.

It's worth noting that members of the controversial Westboro Baptist Church did not picket at the service, despite worries that they might.
