Good news if you're a Clearwire customer eager to embrace 4G network technology, as the telecommunications giant has officially announced that major cities across the United States will be duly equipped before the close of 2010.

Specifically, Clearwire has said its speedy new 4G service will initially be introduced in Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco, with the company partnering with Sprint in Los Angeles, Sprint and Time Warner for the New York, and Comcast for San Francisco.

By way of customer incentive, Clearwire's official website highlights that online customers signing up for 4G access will receive a full month of free service. The company's 'Clear' data service plans will offer a variety of monthly usage plans ranging from $25 USD to $110 USD.

New York will be the first major U.S. City attached to Clearwire's 4G service when the switch is officially flipped on November 1. Los Angeles will be up and running by December 1 and San Francisco is expected to be given the green light before December 31.

Clearwire's announcement arrives as industry rival Verizon Wireless continues gearing up its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) service, which it plans to unleash upon a total of 38 cities across the United States in the near future.
