If you happen to be in the market for a new laptop, and you’re also a rabid fan of Major League Baseball (MLB), chances are they’ll be puddles of drool gathering beneath your slack jaw upon learning of Dell’s latest line of MLB-infused portable computers.

Created via the Dell Design Studio, the ‘die hard fan’ artwork editions of the Inspiron Mini 10 are available in 95 vivid and robust team designs, which are imprinted permanently onto the computer’s chassis lid.

The colourful new arrivals add to an MLB collection first unveiled by Dell in the autumn of last year, which includes Dell Mini and Dell Studio laptops sporting a range of designs from subtle team logos to bold full-cover extravaganzas.

There is even a specific line that recognises the legendary New York Yankees – 2009’s World Series champions.

In terms of other connections to baseball, the artwork edition Mini 10 is also “the perfect travel companion” for devoted fans, not least because it provides on-the-go access for checking stats, watching online gamecasts, managing a fantasy team, and even catching live game broadcasts via the optional built-in digital TV tuner.

To mark the 2010 All Star Game, Dell is gifting all MLB players and coaching staff with a free Mini 10 personalised with the (pictured) All MLB Teams artwork design.

Talk about perks of the job.
