There are some sensitive subjects, in this day and age, that just aren’t funny—regardless of how healthy you consider your sense of humor to be. For example, while we here at Tech Herald Towers enjoy a good laugh as much as anyone, the following is more sick than amusing:

Specifically, 21-year-old Andre Curry of South Racine, Illinois, is being held by local police (against $100,000 USD bail) after orchestrating a Facebook prank that involved making his daughter look as though she’d been taken hostage.

With his 22-month-old baby girl bound in commercial tape across her month and around her ankles and wrists, Mr. Curry then proceeded to take mobile phone photos of the stricken infant and post them onto the world’s leading social network.

And, adding to the clear sense of hilarity, he also included the caption, “This is wut happens wen my baby hits me back” beneath the photo.

Speaking in Mr. Curry’s defense, his grandmother told local reporters that her grandson is “a good dad” and “a big jokester” who’s always laughing and would never do anything to harm his only child.

After completing his harmless prank, Mr. Curry now faces a charge of aggravated domestic battery and can have no contact with his daughter (or anyone below the age of 18) while the case against him is pending.

According to FOXNews, the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services has launched an official investigation into the incident.
