Already considered to be one of the best hatchback runabouts of the last few years, the fun and feisty Fiesta is being given something of a revamp by Ford.
More pointedly the automobile giant is commemorating 100 years in the European market by launching the aptly named Fiesta Centura, which offers up around 600 GBP of extra features.
Based on the 1.25-litre version of the Fiesta Zetec, the special edition Centura comes with a standard petrol engine capable of pushing 82bhp, 16-inch seven-spoke alloy wheels, automatic headlights and windshield wipers, and rear-view mirror parking camera.
“The Fiesta has been a UK favourite its entire lifetime, and it was a natural choice, who knows, it might even become a collector’s car one day,” enthused Anthony Ireson, marketing director for Ford UK.
Available in either three or five-door variations, the Centura also has reverse parking sensor technology, chrome mirror and door caps, LED front daylights, and a modern Metallic Panther Black paint that pays tribute to the all-black Model Ford T manufactured in the UK back in 1911.
According to Ford, the Fiesta Centura will hit showrooms by the end of August and will cost between 13,395 GBP (three-door) and 13,995 (five-door).
If you’re interested, prepare to be quick on the draw with your wallet because the Centura will be gone after its limited 1000-strong production run is over.
