Seems some people just aren’t satisfied by random acts of generosity from massive technology powerhouses, and instead prefer to use them in an effort to seek the attainment of easy profit.
If you’ll recall, last week we told you that Microsoft had kindly gifted 5,000 attendees at the Build Conference with free Samsung tablets running an early build of Windows 8. That would be an act of generosity.
However, Samsung tablets equipped with Windows 8 have begun popping up on eBay, which would suggest some of those extremely lucky attendees would prefer to trade up for cash. That would be ungrateful profit whoring.
According to technical specifications outlined on eBay, the Windows 8 tablet comes with an 11.6-inch touchscreen, 4GBs of RAM, 64GBs of SSD storage, and support for HDMI, USB and microSD memory expansion.
It also apparently includes an Option chip for Wi-Fi, phone and GPRS, Bluetooth connectivity, gyroscope technology, and even increased boot time performance thanks to the addition of a Unified Extensible Firmware Interface BIOS.
There are currently seven Windows 8-equipped tablets available on eBay, with bid pricing ranging from $610 USD through to bowel loosening $2,740 USD. One of the sellers is offering the hardware alongside a ‘Buy It Now’ price of $3,500 USD.
