Sitting here tapping away on my clunky but ever-faithful Dell Precision desktop, I’m torn between telling you about HP’s swanky new all-in-one PC systems and allowing my wanton desires to get the better of my wallet.
So, while fighting the urge to place an immediate order through the official HP store, I shall gleefully reveal a selection of core technical aspects crammed into the sleekly revamped entrants into the TouchSmart and Omni lines.
Both of the new Omni systems (the Omni 120 and 220) come with Full 1080p HD displays, respective screen sizes of 20-inches and 21.5-inches, up to 750GBs of storage, HP’s LinkUp technology, and a choice of either AMD or second generation Intel Core i processors.
Optional aspects include quad-core Core i processing and Beats audio on the Omi 220, and discrete AMD graphics on the Omni 120.
Now you might think such sassy aesthetics and capable hardware will break the bank. However, HP’s latest offerings range from just $399.99 USD to $799.99 USD. Both are due to arrive on stores on Sept. 21 and Sept. 22.

Then there’s the new TouchSmart line (model numbers 320, 420 and 520), which follow on from the TouchSmart 610 and comes with float-form display and a 30-degree tilt-friendly viewing angle.
Feature-wise, the new TouchSmart systems come with multi-touch displays running from 20-inches and 21.5-inches through to 23-inches. They also run on a touch-optimised version of Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating software.
The TouchSmart 320 will have a starting price of $599.99 USD and will be available on Oct. 2. Meanwhile, the TouchSmart 420 and 520 will carry price tags of $699.99 USD and $899.99 USD and will go on sale on Sept. 11.
Urgh! Must. Resist. Pull. Of. TouchSmart... This. Video. Isn't. Helping...
