Believe it or not, what you’re looking at here is not the iPhone 5, or a new Samsung Galaxy, a new Motorola Droid, or a new HTC Somethingorother. No, dedicated tech fans, this here is a BlackBerry.

According to CrackBerry, the above image has been leaked to the Interwebs and shows the BlackBerry London smartphone, which is something of a physical departure for Canadian mobile specialist Research In Motion (RIM).

Set to arrive from left field when considering RIM’s existing handset designs, the BlackBerry London’s sexy lines have apparently been crafted by none other than German performance car manufacturer Porsche.

Not only looking more like leading smartphone platforms, the London also promises to perform like one thanks to the inclusion of a 1.5GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GBs of data storage, and an 8.0 mega-pixel camera.

If the leaked information is accurate, the London will also be the very first of RIM’s smartphones to run on the BlackBerry 10 operating system—following the apparent cancellation of the BlackBerry Milan and BlackBerry Colt, both of which were supposed to host the software.

Although RIM has not yet commented on the surprise unveiling, the BlackBerry London is expected to hit retail before the close of 2012. However, if it’s the real deal, we’d expect to see the London rolled out during the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
