Monty Python’s famous Ministry of Silly Walks delivered belly laughs galore for adoring TV viewers, and now the legendary comedy team is expanding its surreal influence by bringing The Ministry of Silly Games to Facebook.

Stocked with classic Python characters such as the gut-busting Mr. Creosote, the intellectually-challenged Gumbies, the Spanish Inquisition, and the deadly killer rabbit from The Holy Grail, the upcoming Facebook platform is presently heading for an invitation-only beta testing process.

“The Ministry of Silly Games brings Monty Python character and scenes to life like never before,” enthused original troupe member Terry Jones in a statement.

“For years, people have wondered what it would be like to catapult livestock at French fortresses, or play Russian Roulette with an Upper Class Twit,” he added. “Well now they finally can, thanks to The Ministry of Silly Games.”

In adding his endorsement to The Ministry and what prospective players can expect, Hollywood director Terry Gilliam said content offered up by The Ministry of Silly Games comes close to re-creating what was going through his head while creating the classic TV show’s iconic animated segments.
