Although we suggest you take the following ‘videogame news’ with a fistful of salt, it’s still worth reporting due to the popularity and placement of its criminally-fueled subject matter.
More pointedly, Computer and Video Games (CVG) has today drawn industry attention towards an “unnamed ‘PlayStation-focused” magazine in the United Kingdom, which has apparently leaked a raft of details regarding Grand Theft Auto V.
Little is presently known about Rockstar Games’ latest crime-addled opus, but, if the mysterious magazine leak is anything to go by, expectant fans of the acclaimed open-world series have plenty to look forward to.
With anticipation spreading quickly through online channels via GTAForums, the game world in Grand Theft Auto V will apparently be more than four times bigger than its predecessor and will also include upgradeable vehicles, customizable characters, and burglary missions.
Those doing the leaking, who claim to have been treated to an in-depth gameplay viewing, also outline the inclusion of hundreds of on-screen NPCs, beautifully detailed environments and effects, enhanced driving and shooting mechanics, evolved character animations, more environmental interactions (climbing ladders, overhand climbing, etc.).
Notably the gameplay also supposedly includes a wealth of sprawling interior locations, including a shopping mall, a college campus, police station, hospital, and an underground sewer system beneath the city.
It’s worth noting that both Imagine Publishing and Future, the latter of which publishes Computer and Video Games, insist the leaked information has not emanated from their magazines.
