If you happen to be a prospective videogame console buyer living north of the border, then American software giant Microsoft has this week announced a pre-Christmas hardware bundle designed to effectively tease free your hard earned Canadian dollars.
Specifically, beyond including a 250GB version of Microsoft’s black Xbox 360 Elite home console, the ‘Xbox 360 Special Edition’ package is likely to draw Canadian residents towards waiting cash registers in droves thanks to the inclusion of hugely popular flagship titles Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST.
Priced at $399.99 CAD (approximately $383 USD), the Bungie-heavy hardware and software bundle also comes equipped with two black wireless game controllers, and a black Xbox 360 headset for use during online games.
News of the Xbox 360 Special Edition comes hot on the heels of Microsoft revealing that sales of its powerhouse console doubled during the week of Thanksgiving, which group product manager Aaron Greenberg described as the “biggest sales week of the year.”
According to the Seattle-based company, the surging performance can be partly attributed to high bundle sales, such as the Xbox 360 Arcade pack that comes with a $100 voucher enabling owners to download games to the equivalent amount from the Xbox Live online service.
