4Chan launches hunt for puppy killer. Image: LiveLeak.

Earlier this week, a British woman caused something of a knee-jerk outcry when a bizarre CCTV video of her trapping a cat in a wheelie bin was posted online. Now, only a few days later, a fresh surge of fury and disgust has emerged after a genuinely sickening video of animal cruelty hit the Net.

The video in question, which you can watch below (user discretion is advised), shows a young blonde-haired girl in a red hooded top scooping up newborn puppies from a bucket before nonchalantly hurling them into a fast-flowing river.

After turning stomachs all across the Internet after being posted to LiveLeak via a YouTube account, the abhorrent video has swiftly led to 4Chan – the forum responsible for exposing the identity of the aforementioned cat trapper – to call upon its members to help hunt down the sadistic girl and whoever is filming the attack.

Animal welfare group PETA has reacted to the video by offering a monetary reward for information that leads to the arrest of the as-yet unidentified girl and anyone else involved.

“PETA is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for drowning a litter of helpless puppies in the video above,” it outlines in its PETA Files blog.

“Members of 4Chan were able to track down the owner of the Bosnian YouTube account that originally uploaded the video and we currently have six possible leads, but the identity of the girl has yet to be confirmed.”

PETA has also alerted local activists in Bosnia regarding the video.
